Jason H. J. KIM is the founder and managing partner of MEA Law Firm based in Seoul and having an office in Dubai.  His practice areas are Corporate Commercial, International Arbitration, and Litigation, Foreign Investment, Overseas Investment, Construction, Real Estate, Energy, Employment, and Labor of the Middle East and Africa region. Mr. Kim served as a Regional General Counsel at the Middle East and Africa Regional HQ of LG Electronics for five years. He set up BKL Dubai office 2015 and made a success story as a Dubai office representative and Legal Director of BKL for two and a half years.  He is an expert in the Middle East and African region. Mr. Kim provides comprehensive legal advice mainly in areas of overseas construction, resources, energy, investment, establishment of corporations and international arbitration in the regions based on the wide experience gained from his previous works conducted as head of the legal affairs team of the Middle East and Africa Regional HQ of LG Electronics and branch representative/legal director of BKL Dubai office.

 He graduated from Korea University with a B.A. degree in politics and international relationship diplomacy in 2002. He completed the training course of the Judicial Research and Training Institute of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Korea in 2010. Currently, he serves as the chairman of the Middle East and Africa subcommittee at the Seoul Bar Association, helping young attorneys advance to MEA countries. Mr. Kim won the Outstanding Young Attorney Award from the Korean Bar Association. He has written more than 20 articles about the Middle East and Africa to the journal of the Seoul Bar Association based on his experience in the regions. He gave presentations at the seminars hosted by the 2011 annual assembly meeting of the International Bar Association (IBA) in Dubai, the 2014 general assembly meeting of the International Association of Korean Lawyers in New York, the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Korean Bar Association and delivered special lectures organized by the Judicial Research and Training Institute of Korea and the Seoul Bar Association in a bid to actively promote the legal markets in the Middle East and Africa.
